About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Boona uses on boona.app, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how to change your choice. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. Some are needed to make the site work at all; others help us understand how the site is used.
1. The two categories we use
We keep this simple. Boona uses two categories of cookie:
- Strictly necessary. Needed to deliver the site and remember your explicit choices. These cannot be switched off, because switching them off would break the thing you asked for.
- Analytics and advertising. Used to measure how the site is used and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These can be switched off.
We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about your clients, and we do not sell cookie data to third parties.
2. Strictly necessary cookies

These are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a functioning website and, for sign-in cookies, to perform the contract you have with us.
3. Analytics and advertising cookies
We load Google Tag Manager, which in turn may set cookies for Google Analytics and Google Ads. We use these to understand which pages are read, which markets we reach, and whether our advertising works.

Google acts as a third party in its own right for these cookies. Google's own description of how it uses this data is published at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
4. Your choice, and how to change it
When you first visit boona.app we show a cookie notice. Analytics and advertising cookies are on by default, and the notice lets you turn them off.
If you decline:
- We stop loading Google Tag Manager on every subsequent page you visit;
- We delete the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies listed above from your browser for this domain;
- We set Google's own opt-out flag so any already-loaded tag stops sending data;
- We remember the decision in
boona_cookie_consentso it persists across visits on this browser.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the site footer.
5. Browser-level controls
Independently of our notice, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most offer a "Do Not Track" or global privacy control signal. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the Boona dashboard from working — most visibly, staying signed in.
Clearing your browser's cookies also clears boona_cookie_consent, so the notice will appear again on your next visit.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or change a cookie, we will update the table above and the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
